One of the most anticipated upcoming Tamil films is Vijay’s next, Thalapathy 64. The main reasons behind the buzz are the cast & crew including successful young director Lokesh Kanagaraj and the actor Vijay Sethupathi as the antagonist. Lokesh is already familiar to the Telugu audience through Sundeep Kishan’s Mahanagaram and Karthi’s Kaithi. Both these films were successful in Tollywood and now the happening director is working with a top star of Kollywood.
The film was launched earlier this year. Vijay Sethupathi recently joined the shoot and some key scenes were filmed in Shimoga, Karnataka. He played key roles in Petta and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy this year and is now playing the antagonist against Vijay in one of the most exciting face-offs in Tamil cinema. Malavika Mohanan and Andrea Jeremiah are playing crucial roles. The filmmakers are planning to release the film simultaneously in Telugu considering the popularity of Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, and Lokesh trio in Telugu states.
