Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is an upcoming Telugu period film based on the life of freedom fighter ‘Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy’. It is produced by Ram Charan under the Konidela Production Company and directed by Surendar Reddy. The film stars Chiranjeevi and Nayanathara in the lead roles with Tamannaah, Jagapathi Babu, Vijay Sethupathi, and Kiccha Sudeep in supporting roles. Amitabh Bachchan will appear in a cameo role. After the successful comeback of Megastar Chiranjeevi through Khaidi No 150, Ram Charan announced ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ on 26 June 2017.
The filming began on 6 December 2017. Some pictures of the first schedule were released earlier. Chiranjeevi is said to have asked Surendar Reddy to wait until the summer gets over so that they could shoot some action episodes. In a couple of days, Megastar Chiranjeevi is going to kick start a mega schedule of ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ which will include lead actors like Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. It is going to be a 45-day long schedule that will be shot continuously in Hyderabad and includes 2 major action scenes.
This schedule contains an action sequence where Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy attacks a British fort by the night using guns and other weapons. This sequence has initially been planned to shoot in Georgia, but the makers have later changed their mind and decided to shoot it around the Golconda fort remains on the outskirts of Hyderabad. As per the inside sources, this sequence plays an important part in the film and marks the beginning of the rebellion against Britishers. Later some talkie parts will be wrapped and the remaining action sequences will be shot at a specially erected set in Ramoji film city.
Initially, A. R. Rahman was approached to compose the music for the film but he later opted out due to date issues. M. M. Keeravani and Ilayaraja are being considered to replace A. R. Rahman. As of now, there is no official confirmation about the Music director of the film.
