Suriya’s role in NGK is anticipated to be that of a powerful politician. But the latest update suggests that he is playing the role of a farmer. Although not yet officially confirmed, the news is circulating on the internet. Earlier, Suriya’s brother Karthi appeared as a farmer in Kadaikutty Singam, which was released in Telugu as Chinna Babu. Suriya produced the film himself and also donated Rs 1 Crore for the welfare of farmers at its success meet. He is going to sport a new look in the film. So, the team of NGK waited for him to complete the shooting of his current projects.
NGK has huge expectations as it is the first collaboration of Suriya and Selvaraghavan. The first look of the film has an extremely positive response. And the rumors quickly spread that Suriya will be seen as a politician in the film. Selvaraghavan has not directed a film since his 2013 film ‘Irandaam Ulagam’. NGK is the acronym for ‘Nandha Gopalan Kumaran’, which is going to be the name of his character in the film. SR Prabhu produced the film. Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh are playing the female leads in the film. Additionally, Jagapathi Babu is playing the role of the antagonist. The makers initially planned to release the film in Nov 2018 on Diwali. But later postponed due to delays in shooting.
