Sunil has once surpassed Brahmanandam and became the most sought-after comedian in Tollywood. The star comedian image led him to accept hero offers and put an end to his career as a comedian. He tasted success with his debut film, Andala Ramudu, and reached a milestone with Maryada Ramanna. However, he couldn’t get ahead in any direction as his image was messed up between a comedian and an action hero. The audience started criticizing him for spoiling his career as a comedian. He realized his mistake and returned to his strong forte as a comedian with the films, Silly Fellows and Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava. Now he is turning villain for a period drama, Colour Photo.
Sunil became busy as a comedian and has several big projects on his hand like Ala Vaikunthapuramulo. Earlier, he expressed several times that he wants to play the antagonist and requested Rajamouli several times to give him an opportunity. But he couldn’t get any offers at that time. He played a few comedy villain characters in his early career in films like Family Circus. Now, he finally got an offer to play a serious antagonist in a low-budget film, Colour Photo, featuring Suhas and Chadini Chowdary in lead roles. Hrudaya Kaleyam producer & director, Sai Rajesh, is bankrolling the project and a debutant, Sandeep Raj, will direct the film.
