HBO unveiled the sizzle reel of all the series set to release in the first half of 2019. The teaser features quick glimpses of Jon Snow, Sansa Stark, Jaime, and some action scenes from Game of Thrones. Some shots from previous seasons were used in the teaser, so it’s really difficult to guess anything about Season 8.
The first look at the highly anticipated final season of Game of Thrones has brief shots. The fans of the series now have to wait until the release of a full-length trailer. The teaser features Jon Snow giving Sansa Stark a hug, which could be their reunion after returning to Winterfell with Daenerys or before the beginning of the war. There is also a glimpse of the epic fight between Gendry and Jaime.
The final season will only have 6 episodes and is set to premiere in the first half of 2019. However, the show needs to be aired before May 31, 2019, to be eligible for the 2019 Emmys. The VFX is going to take a lot of time which could delay the show further. There will be 2 epic battles in the final season. Apart from the final season, HBO is preparing for a prequel of the series on the same scale. The prequel, ‘The long night’, will be set in the age of heroes, which is approximately 8,000-10,000 years before the timeline of the main series. HBO has confirmed that the long night is going to be made with huge budgets on par with Game of Thrones.
