Dil Raju has been busy with films in recent times. He maintains his schedule to have at least two films in his hand at any point in time. He is enjoying the success of F2 at the moment. The sequel for the film will start next year with the same cast and crew. Dil Raju is also having the big-budget Mahesh Babu starrer Maharshi from his banner. Apart from them, he recently announced the remake of Tamil blockbuster 96 with Sharwanand and Samantha in lead roles. Now the latest we hear is that he is planning a film with Naga Chaitanya.
In the latest media interaction, Dil Raju announced that he is producing a film with Naga Chaitanya in the lead role. The script work is complete and a debutant will direct the film. As of now, they didn’t make any official announcement with details about the complete cast and crew of the film and the launch date. Naga Chaitanya made his debut in 2009 with Josh, which is produced by Dil Raju himself. The film disappointed the audience and failed at the box office.
He approached Chiranjeevi with the script of Josh at first for the launch of Ram Charan. However, Chiranjeevi straight away rejected the script saying that the script won’t work. But Dil Raju had confidence in it and launched Naga Chaitanya. As the film failed, he regretted his decision several times. It took almost a decade for the Josh combo to materialize again. Dil Raju is confident of the script this time and is hopeful of giving a blockbuster to Naga Chaitanya. After critical and commercial success in 2017, Dil Raju faced terrible failures in the form of Lover and Srinivasa Kalyanam. Although Hello Guru Prema Kosame was an average grosser, F2 brought him back to form. He is actively involved in script discussions to churn out more films.
