Forbes compiled its 2018 list of the world’s highest-paid actors estimating pre-tax earnings from June 2017 to June 2018, before deducting fees for managers. The list is based on data from Nielsen, the IMDB website, and interviews with industry experts and celebrities themselves. Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar made it to the list.
George Clooney topped the list with estimated earnings of $239 million. Clooney, 57, hasn’t starred in movies since his 2016 crime thriller Money Monster. His earnings are mostly after selling Casamigos Tequila company he co-founded to British spirits company Diageo in June 2017. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson stood at No. 2 with an estimated $124 million. His recent films are performing well at the box office and his social media fans are an added advantage to his hefty paychecks. The top 10 actors have earned around $784 million collectively which is more than 4 times that of women. Scarlett Johansson topped the list with $40.5 million in pre-tax earnings.
Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan made it to the top 10. Akshay Kumar ranked No. 7 on the list with an estimated $40.5 million, while Salman Khan stood at No. 9 earning $38.5 million. The top 10 on the list include:

Earlier, Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan made it to Forbes’ list of the top 100 highest-paid entertainers in 2018, which was announced last month. While Akshay was ranked 76th on the list, the Salman secured the 82nd spot. Salman Khan received a flop with his recent film Race 3. Akshay Kumar is busy with his films including the prestigious 2.0.
