‘DevaDas’ starring Akkineni Nagarjuna, Nani, Rashmika Mandanna, and Aakanksha Singh in the lead roles, is gearing up for release on September 27th. The team of ‘DevaDas’ interacted with the media on Tuesday.
Ashwini Dutt thanked the lead actors Nagarjuna and Nani for their support. He said that the film has ample entertainment for two and half hours, and it reminded him of the classic ‘Gundamma Katha’ as the chemistry between the two heroes worked very well in it.
Nagarjuna said that the producer, Ashwini Dutt, has not changed much since ‘Akhari Poratam’ and now he got support in the form of both daughters and a son-in-law. Nagarjuna is playing the role of a mafia don, Deva but there won’t be much violence and bloodshed in the film. The film revolves around the personal life of Deva and his friendship with Das. The influence of Deva and Das over each other is narrated in an entertaining way. He further said that the director showed them the film 3 days prior to release and there is no scope for changes and suggested to all directors that they should complete the film and show it to producers at least 1 month prior to release so that they can make any changes.
Nani said that he is playing the role of an innocent and honest doctor, Krishna Das. The regular life of Das becomes a roller-coaster ride after the gangster Deva enters his life. Nani expressed that he is stressed with the film release and Bigg Boss finale this week and is willing to have a vacation once it is all over.
Rashmika Mandanna said that her character is like a girl next door in ‘DevaDas.’ Aakanksha Singh said that Nagarjuna helped her a lot during the shooting by giving tips about acting and dialogues.
Sriram Adithya said the solo and multi-starrer movies are the same for him as a director. He worked on the script for 4-5 months along with Bhupathi Raja and Satyanand. The production started with a bounded script. When asked if the film is a remake, Sriram Adithya said that the script is original and is not a remake or inspiration from any Hollywood film.
